We here at Flonuts are always up for a good time. When it comes to daytime partying, especially at pool clubs, it is vitally important to be responsible. From Vegas to Miami to Ibiza, and all of the beautiful places in between, there is only one thing better than drinking… and that’s day drinking. Without further ado, here are a list of some of our places in the United States to party this summer.
Marquee Dayclub at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas spans 22,000 square-feet of the expansive multi-level Marquee Nightclub & Dayclub entertainment complex and boasts two pools, several bars and a gaming area. Programming throughout the season is highlighted by Marquee Nightclub & Dayclub resident DJs encompassing the world’s premier electronic music talent. DJs this summer include the likes of Alesso, Dash Berlin, Carnage, and DJ Vice.
A revolutionary open-air entertainment & nightlife destination combines the best of day & nightlife in one of the most electric settings in Vegas. With inspiration drawn straight from the sands of Ibiza, DAYLIGHT brings sophistication, high-energy entertainment, fine cuisine, innovative technology & world-renowned DJs to the Las Vegas desert at the Mandalay Bay. Daylight is the first of Vegas clubs to venture off the beaten path and has been stepping it up with the bookings of Carl Cox, Guy Gerber, and long time dance music legend, Danny Tenaglia.
This is what you thought LA would be—an endless summer where the margaritas are always flowing and the ocean is just steps away. Brent Bolthouse’s newest (and first Westside) venture is also his most casual. The Bungalow—an actual bungalow on the grounds of Santa Monica’s Fairmont Miramar—is a boho retreat decorated in Baja-Cali style, making a night of drinks feel like a house party. Order one of the potent mezcal creations at the outdoor bar and hang out by the fire pit or head inside to lounge on one of the Mexican blanket-wrapped couches. If you’re feeling active (or competitive), there’s an outdoor ping pong table and indoor pool table.
Day drinking can be tricky, what with the natural light of day so vividly exposing your actions. So if it's sloppiness you seek, we recommend going to an institution that encourages such behavior with the mantra “We Came to Get Sloppy”. With drink specials such as the Sloppy Poppy and a menu packed with lobster rolls and beach burgers, The Sloppy Tuna is a one-stop, all-day party, though Montauk's main beach is just a stumble away if you need a power nap.
Despite the name of Andre Balazs’ famed boutique restaurant, bar, and hotel, the party at Sunset Beach begins early and lasts all day long. Exclusively located on Shelter Island, Sunset Beach brings together St. Tropez vibes with the casual feel of a barefoot beach bar. While the restaurant offers delicious staple French cuisine dishes of Moules Marinières, Bouillabaisse de Sunset, and Grilled Octopus, the real treat at Sunset Beach is enjoying the Andre Balazs Collection of rosé, produced in partnership by local winery Channing Daughters, on the stunning sun-soaked deck.
These 5 places should get you started for a good time this summer. While our lives are consumed with inflatables, we hope yours is consumed with fun. After all, life is about having a good time and going with the flow (or the Flonuts).
